Ben Knauss, CPA
I joined the firm in 2013 after my wife, Mariel, and I moved from Pennsylvania in search of more sunshine and better skiing terrain. Additions were made to the family in 2014 and 2016, the first substantially furrier, and the second has blonde pigtails. Both love adventuring outdoors. When I take a break from doing your taxes, you will likely find me out adventuring with my family, hunting, skiing, or rock climbing.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Colorado State in 2015, I joined the Hoelting Audit team. I am an audit senior that has worked exclusively with governmental and non-profit audit engagements, with a little reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedures sprinkled in there.
My family and I first came to the Springs in mid-2009 from the Dallas area. When I am not auditing, my family and I enjoy camping and four-wheeling. My son and I also love working out and reading together.
I have lived in Colorado Springs most of my life. I attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for my undergrad and am currently attending Colorado State University for my graduate degree.
My wife and I have two small boys and enjoy the outdoors as well as playing music in our spare time.
I am originally from Puerto Rico and recently moved to the Colorado Springs area. I received my bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bethany College in Kansas in 2018.
I enjoy fishing, kayaking, and all sports related activities. My favorite sport is baseball and I firmly believe there is nothing better than a nice summer day out at the ballpark, especially when watching the Red Sox.
